On behalf of Southern Connecticut Storm Special Hockey and our 55 players with a developmental disability, we wish to thank you all at Play For Purpose and the NY Rangers Alumni for a simply fabulous event on Saturday.
The Children we serve, as well as the numerous Parents, Coaches and Assistants that took part in your numerous fundraising efforts and the Rangers Alumni activities, all had a wonderful experience. Not as recipients of the fundraising, but by being a part of All your efforts, was a huge growing experience for everyone, but most especially for our Children.
We noted with pride, as those who could, took part in every avenue of the fundraising process. As you know, stepping out of the box, and doing tasks for the first time, can be very overwhelming for some of the children. They took on tasks, such as selling 50/50 tickets to the crowd in the stands, with a very serious purpose. It was not lost on them, that they were a very important part of PFP and the Rangers Alumni on Saturday.
We also watched in awe, as the Children, when surprised by the NY Ranger Alumni on the ice, skated a little bit faster, stood a little bit taller and all had an amazing day. We thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts.
We are very grateful you included us in your charitable activities. Thank you,
Deb McQuilkin
President
